Privacy Policy

Resonance (“we”, “us”) is a social music app for iPhone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Resonance you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account information. You sign in with Sign in with Apple, which gives us your name and email. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we only ever receive a private relay address.
• Content you create.The tracks you share, captions, comments, likes (“resonances”), and the people you follow. This activity is visible to other Resonance users.
• Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver them.
• Usage & diagnostics. We use Firebase Analytics (aggregate usage) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash diagnostics) to understand and improve the app.

How we use your information

• To operate the social features (feed, profiles, comments, follows).
• To deliver the notifications you have enabled.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the app.

Music catalog & Apple Music

Catalog search and 30-second previews are requested from Apple’s public iTunes Search API without identifying you. If you are an Apple Music subscriber and choose to save your Resonance playlist to your library, we use Apple MusicKit with your permission.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We rely on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, and Crashlytics) to run the service, and on Apple for sign-in and MusicKit. Your public activity — posts, comments, likes, and follows — is visible to other users.

Your choices & account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, posts, likes, and follows, and revokes Sign in with Apple. You can also turn off push notifications in iOS Settings.

Children’s privacy

Resonance is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
